Burgham International

Annie Clover 1

I may of had a delayed start to my 2015 season due to the broken collarbone but I couldn’t of been more delighted with how the horses ran at Burgham International. Firstly the organisers did an amazing job to keep the show on the road as the weather was certainly against us all, so a huge thank you to the huge team at Burgham HT. As it was our first event of the season I entered the advanced horses in the CIC** where Annie Clover lead from the dressage with an amazing score of 35 she then jumped a lovely double clear to win the class. I was particularly pleased with how she went cross country as it was her first run since The World Equestrian Games in August last year, where the cross country course was made even more demanding due to the rain and heavy going, as a young horse at her first Championships I was interested to see how she came out this year and judging by her excitement to get to the first fence I couldn’t help but smile and feel relieved! It was fair to say we were both smiling One Two Many after finishing 8th in his first 4* last October also put in a solid first run of the season with a 37 dressage and a super double clear to make it a 1st, 2nd for Team Wilson and not forgetting Watermill Vision who had a few little expensive mistakes in his dressage but on the whole performed a quality test and with his lovely double clear finish 6th in the same class. Bulana was running in the Open Intermediate to finish 4th. All the horses felt happy, well and full of running and I can not thank everyone enough for there support through these difficult few weeks whilst the collarbone was recovering. The support from my own personal home team of staff and owners has been fantastic and also from UK Sport and World Class who have helped me get back to full fitness so quickly after having my collarbone plated 3 weeks earlier. I have been to Moulton College in Northampton for Cryotherapy and hydrotherapy putting my body through temperatures of -141 degrees C in the Cryotheraphy and +40 degrees C in the hydro pool on the water treadmill which I feel made a big difference in me getting back competing so quickly. So Thank You Everyone that has helped and supported me, great start to our delayed season.
